You have to prepare well if you want to write effective copy, and one way to do that is through market research. When you write a sales copy for someone reading it on the web, you'll find it easier to convince him if your copy is well organized. There are many things to talk about, too many, but for now we want to go into bullet points. Each bullet point will be about one single benefit, and you have to write them to convey emotional benefits. Be sure to keep the following in mind as you sit down to compose your copy and great benefit bullets.
The most effective points will all have unique wording in them, so keep that in mind. Avoid writing similar leading copy, or text or words, at the beginning of them. Remember that every bullet point that you include in your copy has some role to play which is why you should keep them different in every way. Anytime copy is repetitious, then that means the amount of attention paid to it decreases. The more creative you are in your approach when writing bullet points, the better it is. Think out of the box when creating and arranging bullet points in your copy, and there's no hard and fast rule when you're working with bullet points. Look up the more well known copywriters, and you can find their work online to study from. One thing about bullets is they can lead writers to overuse of hype, and you do have to be careful with that. Copywriters have been using benefit bullets for many decades, so you just simply learn and then practice.
Apply sound thinking and logic with your bullets because they have to be in order. So with that in mind, you cannot overlook anything with your points. You can write out as many bullets as you feel is necessary, and that is always your decision. We never feel like there are too many bullets because you can add value to the copy. Once you are finished, then make very sure they are concise with no unnecessary words that do not belong.
You can really make your copy do a lot more when you improve it in this manner. It doesn't really matter what you aim to achieve with it, but see to it that you're organizing it effectively.
Bullets are so powerful that entire books have been written about them, and that is why you have to pay attention to what you do. All copywriters will tell you that the one path to excellence is practice, and there is no other way.
