If you have a blog, then you realize it has to be kept current, and like a lot of other bloggers sometimes it can be tough finding something to write about. However, if you look around you'll notice struggling bloggers have a hard time coming up with new and interesting ideas for their blog posts, which ultimately makes them lose interest and they end up abandoning the blog in the worst case. If we have described you, the struggling blogger, then take notes on the following points to address the "what to write about" problem once and for all.
Answer the questions your audience is asking - many of them can be found in your blog's comment section. This is a great way to move past the same old topics you've been writing on and either expand, elaborate, or move on to something new and different - as long as it addresses the needs of your core readership. If you're not interacting with your readers already now is the perfect time to start. It doesn't hurt to go to your readers and ask them what it is they're looking for. A simple method that works all the time!
Be on the lookout for customer or reader complaints. You can gain as much by knowing what your audience doesn't like as you can from knowing what they do like. By focusing on solving this problem, you may come up with a viable solution that your readers may find helpful. Keep it simple and leave time on your blog for other things as well.
Don't forget to use regular, every day, real world experiences in your blog.
You better believe, that getting personal and revealing a little of yourself to readers is a great way to connect. However, ensure that your post doesn't become irrelevant or you move away from your main topic. The goal is to always keep your blog close to the topic at hand and you should never stray from the niche you're addressing. The content you place on your blog is the only way you have to make it truly unique. The best way to do this is by approaching topics in your niche that aren't being discussed elsewhere. With every unique topic you come up with you're increasing the chances that your blog will succeed.
